FLORAL FRENZY ....

I am absolutely, totally, madly in LOVE with florals ..... I want floral .... EVERYTHING ! Floral shoes, bed covers, clothes, bags and ... well you get the picture :)

There is only a few things to remember about wearing florals ....

Petite Gal's
- Stay away from big, bold florals as the will swamp you. Stick to smaller prints.

Curvy Gal's
- Small floral prints will make you look bigger.

Do
- Mix and match floral prints.
- Use floral accessories to jazz up an outfit. This is a great way to transition into full blown floral frenzy.

Don't
- Avoid florals if you are not a girly girl.
- Be afraid to experiment. Fashion is about taking risks so go on, try on something you usually wouldn't! Who knows ... you might even like it :)

PRODUCT RAVE

I'm back raving again about something I have known was kinda special for a long time but for some bizarre reason I just stopped using it, probably because I like to mix it up ... That's just how I roll :)

Anyway, so I recently purchased it again and I'm actually addicted. It's a conditioner by Aussie called 3 Minute Miracle and it's UNREAL.COM ..... lol

Product: AUSSIE, 3 Minute Miracle, Reconstructor, Deep Conditioner

Directions: Sqeeze from bottle. Apply to clean (previously shampoo'd), wet, hair. Leave between 1-3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

The Aussie Philosophy: "There's more to life then hair but it's a good place to start"

They say: For hair in need of TLC (okay, so that was me sold. It's a lovely thought isn't it? Your hair getting tender, loving, care as you shower). This product promises to transform dry, damaged hair into manageable and shiny locks in just 3 minutes with there unique formula Safflower Seed Oil which helps mend split ends and roughened hair cuticles.

I SAY: I don't have dry or damaged hair but I do have long knotty hair which this product makes tangle free, silky and shiny.

PRO'S:

1. Soft, smooth, untangled hair.
2. It does exactly what it says on the tin.
(I don't have any more pro's but I guess that's all one wants from a conditioner)

CON'S:

1. This probably isn't the companies fault but I have found that this product varies massively in price range. The most I have paid for a 250ml bottle is €8.99 and the least is €3.49.

2. It might just be me but I thought it was worth mentioning that this product doesn't last as long as any other conditioner I have ever used! I think it's because it has quite a thick consistency so you use more then average per use. To be honest I probably use too much conditioner in general.

I just want to add that this probably isn't the product for you if you have naturally oily hair but anyone with dry, damaged or tangled hair it's definitely worth a try :)

Until next time,

Lollz xx

NUDE is the new black ......

Nude is so IN right now and I am LOVING it. Its sooooo Spring / Summer and there are shades and shapes for every skin and body type. As you will see below I am really into the pinky nude. I think its the prettiest colour and is very easy to wear.

Just a quick round up of a few celebs seen out and  about in Nude dresses.

Jaime Winestone
Jaime paid tribute to the late great Alexander McQueen at the BAFTA Awards and I think she looks stunning. Very Hollywood.

Kelly Osborne
Kelly, 25, showed off her new trim figure in this feathered Sue Wong dress at Elton Johns Oscar Party. She got some critisism for her choice in dress but I think she looks beautiful. Not sure about the purple locks though Kel?

 Demi Moore
Demi, 47, shows off a figure most twenty year olds would kill for in a Versace frock. Demi always looks classy and this occasion is no exception.

Amanda Holden
Amanda, 39, also at Elton Johns bash looks beautiful in a Ralph and Russo gown.

For us meer mortals who do not have designers banging down the door, clambering over each other for us to wear their clothes ... here are some affordable ways we can rock the nude trend.

New Look have a HUGE array of nude dresses, shoes, bags, cardigans etc ..... Here are a few of my favourites shoes, all available on http://www.newlook.com/

Nude Flip Flops - £10.00
Perfect for holidays and sunny days. I really like these as I am a little bit allergic to heels lately. I think I am going through a phase as I am normally addicted to heels. So if like me spring / summer to you is all about flats these are cute and comfy. What more can a gal ask for?

Metalic Trim Platform - £30.00
These shoes are super high so definitely not for the faint hearted. But even if the thought of actually walking in these makes you dizzy you  have to admit they are stunning!  I had to force myself not to buy these as I know for a fact I would never wear them, they are just too high.

Bow Front Patent Wedges - £20.00
If your not into flats or sky scraper heels these are the nude shoes for you. Wedges are making a come back and are huge for spring / summer. I think wedges are a great happy medium, shoe-wise, as they are easier to walk in then heels. I think these are cute for under a sun dress or even under jeans.

Some of my favs A/Wear. All available on http://www.awear.com/

Pink Multi Lace Tier Skirt - €28.00

I LOVE this skirt, so cute and has been featured in many magazines! Great for adding curves and so girly. Now I tried this skirt on and it did nothing for me so I definitely think its not for those of us with big bottom halves.

Pink Gold Bottom Detail Dress - €40.00

I bought this dress and I love it. I'm a curvy girl and I think the shape and way it hangs is perfect if like me you have any areas you want to hide.

Belted Sateen Pencil Dress - €45.00
Again a stunning dress, great for hour glass or boyish figures as the belt can either accentuate or add curves. Very classy.

Nearly every shop has lots of Nude / Pastels at the moment including River Island, Primark / Penneys, Oasis and Topshop. I have just picked a few pieces but the possibilities are endless.

If the thought of wearing head to toe nude just scares you, accessorise! Nude shoes are a great wat to start and to make legs look leaner and longer.

Or try a nude handbag and scarf. Fashion is all about taking the current trends and making them work for you.

Until next time,

Lollz

P.S .... I am not afilliated with any of the shops mentioned above xx

PRODUCT RAVE

Hey hey hey,

So I had a really bad cold for about two weeks. Thinking I was doing the right thing, I was using alot of vaseline around my mouth and nose to prevent my skin from getting dry and ....... it TOTALLY back fired on me !!! I started getting spots all over my face, even on my eyelid !!! Yucky-ness ... I know.

Sorry for the gross story but I do have a point I promise :)

So, I'm really not used to getting spots at all. I never got them even, as a teenager, so I didn't know how to combat them. I used my Creme de la Mer scrub which just made the whole situation worse and they started spreading across my cheeks. I was almost having a breakdown at this stage because I am going on a girly weekend away and I would hate for my skin to be acting up!

Anyway, long story short-ish. My mother saved the day by telling me to use Simple - Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial Wash. I have used it twice now, yesterday and today, and noticed a huge improvement. It seems to be drying out the irritations and stoping them spreading which is such a reflief. Yey for my mother !!

I don't think I will use this product once my skin has cleared up because I have naturally dry skin and I feel the wash is drying which is probably why it's helping with my irritations. My skin does feel super clean and refreshed after use though.

This product does contain SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate). Which I try to avoid putting anywhere near my skin or scalp but I was desperate and as I said I won't be using it long term.

So I just wanted to do a quick blog to share with you guys just in case any of you find yourself in the same situation. xx

TAGGED: TEN THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY .....

I saw this tag on Juicy Girls - Beauty Blog and I thought it would be fun. So here it goes .....

1.
Watching tv.
That's kinda how I relax which I know isn't at all that healthy but what can I say. I'm a tv junky in general but I'm very obsessed with reality tv .... The Hills, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The City, Running In Heels, Kimora - Life In The Fab Lane, ANTM and the list goes on and .... Thank God for Sky+ :)

2.
Making Plans.
Yes, I am one of lifes planners and it fills me with soooo much happiness when I am planning something, anything! From nights out to weekends away to holidays. I love to plan, plan, plan.

3.
Shopping.
This is probably a given seen as thats basically what my blog is about but I have a very slight shopping addiction and buying stuff definitely makes me happy! This is probably really, really superficial ..... but ..... erm .... it makes me happy and thats what this tag is about!

4.
A Good Book.
How boring of me to choose a book as something that makes me happy but it's so true! I love how I can get lost in a book.

Magazines make me happy too, I buy about ten of them every week! And I'm not even exaggerating .... It's kinda embarrassing because the cashier nearly always says to me when I'm at the checkout "Oh are these for a hair or beauty salon?" ..... Shamefully I usually lie and say YES! It's easier then explaining that they are actually all for me.

5.
My Bedroom.
This is probably a strange one but I LOVE my bedroom and it honestly does make me happy. It's my little space to just chillax in because it's filled with so many things that I love like ..... candles, fairy lights, my pictures, my bed and lots more. I'm getting it painted next week and I think I will put up some pictures once it's all done. It's nothing special but I think room tours are interesting!

6.
My Cat Dolly.
She was a stray we adopted. She is such a PRINCESS, spoilt rotten! I have even bought her little dresses but she won't wear them :( I love her anyway and I would be so sad if anything happened to her.

7.
Tattoos.
I LOVE tattoos!! I know they aren't everyones cup of tea but they are mine. I have six at the moment and plan on getting more but I am taking my time deciding what I would like and where I want to ink next. Here's a picture of the one on my foot.

8.
Being organised.
Okay, now I'm really scaring myself now but this honestly makes me happy. I love knowing that everything has a place and that I can find things really easily..... Hmmmm ..... I think I'm a lil OCD !

9.
My friends.
Having drinks or dinner with my besties, having a chat and laughing about everything and anything. The headaches the next morning from all the wine we drank, I don't love so much, but it's a small price to pay for fun nights with friends!

10.
MY BIRTHDAY!
I am obsessed with my birthday. I have no idea why but I have been for as long as I can remember. I always have a party which costs me a fortune but makes me very very happy :) Here's a pic of me blowing out the candles at one of my parties.

Okay well that's it .... hope you enjoyed reading this and I tag ..... EVERYONE xx

P.S. Yes I know I techinally cheated on number 4 because I said books and magazines but they are in the same category, aren't they? :P

I ♥ the January sales ....... (and ice, ice baby!)

Hi everyone,

So I braved the scary, icy roads to check out what the January sales had to offer and I have to say I was presently surprised .... even though some of the stuff I purchased weren't actually on sale! I always seem to do that, it's like I am tricked into thinking that I'm getting a bargain cause it's sale time when in fact I'm paying full price. Yes, yes I know I'm strange :P

So anyway before I get onto the good stuff (i.e my haul) .... I just wanna say .... WTF is going on with the weather??? I have been practically iced in for a month and it's supposed to get worse over the next few days. We don't even have snow, just very dangerous icy roads and paths. At least if we actually had snow I could have some fun making snow Angels or building a snow family :)

And noooooo my Ugg boots haven't arrived yet !! But I emailed the company and they said that they should be arriving soon. YEY! Soooo excited to get them!

Right, after that little ramble, here is what I purchased ....

These are huge gold earrings from River Island. These weren't on sale and were €17.50, which is very expensive but I thought they were stunning! The picture really doesn't do them justice. I am after developing a mild obsession with gold plated jewellery lately after years of thinking it didn't actually suit me. I also have a HUGE obsession with big earrings. The only downside to these is that they are quite heavy.

These are also from River Island. I LOVE them and they were only €8.00. I haven't worn these yet but they definitely won't be weighing my ears down like the ones above.

I thought these were cute. They are silver or probably silver plated but I really like bows, i think they are quite classy. I got these in A-Wear and they only cost €5.00 which is a bargain. I have actually worn these aren't as heavy as they look which is great as you sorta forget you have them on.

How cool is this hat? And Katy Perry was pictured wearing one, SOLD !I searched River Island for this and it was all sold out so I ordered this on ebay but I just had to include it because I think its so fricking cool. Plus if it's good enough for Ms. Katy Perry ..... :P

I picked up this hat up in River Island for only €6.00. I has little "ears" at the top which is kinda hard to see in the photo but looks really cute on.

Maybe I am getting lazy in my old age (lol) but I am really not into going shopping in heels. I always end up with sore, tired feet. So I wanted some flat boots. I found these in Pennys (Primark). The picture makes them look awful but there honestly not and they were only €9.00 in the sale. You gotta love Pennys (Primark).

Then last but certainly not least .... Two Mac lipsticks !

Mac - Creme Cup, which looks stunning swatched but I am not loving at all cause it has no colour pay off on me :(

Mac - Snob, which I really like but so far am not loving. Fleshpot is still definitely my fav lipstick EVER but I shall continue buying and trying new ones until I find another colour that I love :)

Anyway that is it for now my lovelies. I do have a few new nail polishes to review soon.

I hope where ever you are the weather isn't effecting you too badly !

Be safe. Hugs and kisses.

Laura ♥
